Biography
Alan Roberton
Alan Roberton first began using hypnosis to help people way back in 1965 and in 1972 he began an 11 year research programme into its mysteries, finding out much that has never been written about or generally fully understood. During those 11 years he discovered the reasons why hypnosis works the way it does (and more importantly, how it doesn't work and why) and gradually developed his therapy based upon his results. He started up in private practice in 1976 and by 1979 became a full-time professional, working from his High Street clinic, where over the years he treated more than 8,000 individuals.
For several years he lectured at Cambridge Universtiy medical faculty to both students and tutors. Over the period of his career he has given many talks to different groups, some on the practical and physical side of his work and others on the spiritual aspects. He also has given talks to business groups about stress in the workplace, the importance of recognising stress and all its accompanying problems, both physical and emotional. He has appeared on television and radio, and has had many articles written about him and his work.
In 1979 he made his first recording, on cassette tape, which turned out to be a useful aid in his therapeutic work. Over the years he made over 200 separate recordings and has now reached the point where his experience and expertise are being used to help people to cope in this fast moving world we find ourselves living in.
In 1997 Alan moved to West Wales in order to get away from the hustle and bustle so he could concentrate his energies on his next project, Quietmind Recordings.
He set up Quietmind in 2000 and has spent the last 9 years putting together the concept of The Quietmind Recordings and is now producing and selling these recordings online. The main reason he has decided to set up the Quietmind website is simply because he wishes to provide a quality product that really works.
