The Quietmind


From 1971 to 1979 I undertook intensive research into the inner mind, mainly using deep hypnosis, looking into exactly what the inner mind was and how it worked. Using the results of this research I developed a new way of working with people and their problems, often without the need to use hypnosis.

Gradually, over a period of several years my therapy developed and grew. My research took a different direction and I was able to develop my whole approach to helping people overcome their problems. I began to focus on a different aspect of the mind and helped people to discover their own truths. This new focus was used to stimulate their inner minds' energies, allowing them to grow and blossom.

As I continued to work with the inner mind, I discovered that it doesn't actually communicate in the normal sense, through words or even through thought, but through instinct, which is why I refer to it as the Quietmind. The Quietmind is not situated in the brain, or indeed in any one part of the body, it is the real you, the deep energetic being that you are, it is the life-force within. (There has always been a knowingness within each of us, an understanding of something far bigger that cannot easily be explained in just words.)

We listen to music and are taken somewhere exquisite, we look at amazing paintings and feel a stirring inside, we touch our loved one and feel a unique and special connection; sometimes words cannot fully express what we feel deep inside. The Quietmind is what that feeling is all about and when stimulated it becomes alive and shows itself to the world. Our own personal Quietmind is there within us all, waiting to be discovered, to be awoken, to shine.
